Is there a cost to attend the National Board Academy?
No. The National Board provides access to all National Board Academy sessions for free. This aligns with one of our core values — Commitment to Teachers. It’s important to note that all National Board work — the standards, the assessment this conference and more, are created “by teachers, for teachers” which aligns with our values and our mission.
Is this conference only for National Board Certified Teachers or candidates?
No. All educators are welcome to attend the National Board Academy. We invite you to spread the word to your friends and colleagues.
How do I register?
Registration for the National Board Academy is organized by day. Each strand will have one session each day of the Academy. The strands include the following:

Navigating your National Board Journey.
From the registration page, select the day that you are interested in attending. This will open a Zoom registration page from which you can select one, two, three or all four of the sessions that are of interest to you. Repeat for each day.
Social Hours are a Zoom meeting format. From the registration page, select Social Hour. This will open a Zoom registration page from which you can select which day(s) you would like to attend.
You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom that will contain a link to join each session. This link will be the same for all the sessions in a given day. You will also be given the option to add the details to your calendar. A reminder email will be sent 24 hours prior to each session for which you have registered.
I am unable to attend one or more sessions that I am interested in. Will replays be available?
Yes. All sessions will be recorded and made available to everyone who registers. Information on accessing the recordings will be emailed by early August.
I am interested in submitting for professional development or continuing education hours. Will you provide me with a certificate of attendance?
Yes. We will be providing a certificate of attendance for all sessions. We encourage you to check with your state or district office to ensure that you meet all criteria to receive credit from attending National Board Academy sessions. The National Board does not issue PD or CEU credits.
If I cannot attend a session but view the recording, can I get the certificate of attendance?
No. Certificate of attendance will only be issued to those attending the live session.
