Is there a cost to attend the National Board Academy?
There is no cost to attend. The National Board Academy is free and open to all educators.
Is this conference only for National Board Certified Teachers or candidates?
No. All educators are welcome to attend the National Board Academy. We invite you to spread the word to your friends and colleagues.
How do I register?
Registration for the National Board Academy is organized by day. Each track will have one session each day of the Academy. The tracks include the following:

Navigating your National Board Journey.
From the registration page, select the day that you are interested in attending. This will open a Zoom registration page from which you can select one, two, three or all four of the sessions that are of interest to you. Repeat for each day.
National Board Academy Connect! sessions are in a Zoom meeting format. From the registration page, select Register. This will open a Zoom registration page from which you can select which day(s) you would like to attend.
You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom that will contain a link to join each session. This link will be the same for all the sessions in a given day. You will also be given the option to add the details to your calendar. A reminder email will be sent 24 hours prior to each session for which you have registered.
I am unable to attend one or more sessions that I am interested in. Will replays be available?
Yes. All sessions will be recorded and made available to everyone who registers. Information on accessing the recordings will be emailed by early August.
I am interested in submitting for professional development or continuing education hours. Will you provide me with a certificate of attendance?
Yes. We will be providing a certificate of attendance for all sessions. We encourage you to check with your state or district office to ensure that you meet all criteria to receive credit from attending National Board Academy sessions. The National Board does not issue PD or CEU credits.
If I cannot attend a session but view the recording, can I get the certificate of attendance?
No. Certificate of attendance will only be issued to those attending the live session.
I have questions about National Board Certification or Maintenance of Certification. Can you help me?
The Navigating Your National Board Journey strand will answer all questions about initial certification over three days. We will also hold "NB2B Day", which is the Thursday of Academy week. During that time, you will be able to hear from current candidates about their experience pursuing Board certification as well as get even more information to help you plan.
We will be holding a Maintenance of Certification informational webinar at a later date on July 24 at 7PM EST. Registration information will be available on the Webinar page soon.
