Whether staying virtual, or considering hybrid candidate support models, how do we take effective in-person strategies and achieve similar results online? Community building, connection and addressing barriers matter. We’ll discuss practical strategies that can be used both in-person and online to engage candidates.

As we build a more equitable and inclusive approach to candidate support, we will introduce the first draft of a Framework for Engaging and Supporting Diverse Candidates. In this session we will explore some foundational beliefs and values we want to embody and identify some practices we can integrate into our work.

As National Board Champions, you play a unique role in helping drive awareness of National Board certification, its value for educators and the process, and supports. This session will focus on communication through social media, email and more.

A time of resource sharing and collaboration with the candidate support community focused on component-specific support structures and effective tools for coaching candidates.

Events and Celebrations

This session will facilitate networks sharing ideas and resources on building community in the network through events and celebrations, both in-person and virtually.

Organizing your Network for Engagement, Success and Greater Diversity
Regardless of size or structure, networks need organization that maximizes their efforts and mobilizes their NBCTs.  This session will focus on organization structures that focus on diversity, inclusion, and engagement in the field.
