Join professional organizations like the American Library Association that are funding scholarships like the Spectrum Scholars program (http://www.ala.org/advocacy/spectrum) to help underrepresented BIPOC get into professions and complete their degrees: http://www.ala.org/membership/node/69/ Representation matters!
If your professional organization is not funding programs like this, urge them to start. BIPOC representation in our professions and in our leadership is one of the best ways to affect change!
