What are different strategies one is able to show in a virtual science elementary lesson
There are many answers to this question, yet before beginning with those, what is the goal/s for these students to take away from this science lesson? Look at the students science skills now. 'yes, right now' Then develop the scaffolding for them to accomplish using those whether virtually or visually presented in a take away of understanding what you want them to know and be able to use for the next science lesson. After you begin to know the students' and their needs then strategies to meet those needs flow and become measurable. They will give you their A game if you scaffold it towards them.
Now, if you are at that point of wanting strategies and you do not have them in your bag of teaching skills then science teachers/highly qualified NBCTs of any certificate can give you many new ways to have students apply the skills you have given these students to try out. Always remember, as students are learning their failures AND successes make a difference.
I really needed to get an idea of what activities science teachers are doing in the virtual setting in their classes that helped them teach a concept with relative success to get an idea.
